Happy Diwali 2014,
known as the festival of lights is a festival which is celebrated in
the Hindu religion every year. The main significance of this festival is
winning of light over the darkness and also overcoming the evil power
and having a good hope in the future life. The spirituals and the
preparations may extend over 5 days. The main festival happens on the
Diwali night where we will be able to see the new moon night in the luni
solar month of Karthik in Hindu religion. Often on the calendar of
Gregorian we can see that the Diwali happens in October and in November.
Diwali begins on second month of Ashvin which comes on the 12th day. It is celebrated by performing an Aarti on cow and calf and this symbol is usually a symbol of love between the baby and her mother. The next day it is celebrated as Dhana Trayodashi where the people involved in business give importance for this festival. It is considered as a good day for making good purchases in metals and kitchenware. This day is also good for purchasing good metals like gold and silver. Next day is followed by Naraka Chaturdashi where the people in the morning will take a bath and before the sunrise and the bathing process is big process where we use Utnas and perfumes which is followed by Aarti.
After the Naraka Chaturdashi the Lakshmi Pooja will arrive and it happens on no moon day. The crackers are burned during the Diwali Festival. After the Pooja new accounts are opened. On this day the people are not making any payments. The Goddess Lakshmi is usually worshipped with good care. People often forget many good things which we tend to forget very soon. Relatives and friends are invited to the home and the celebrations will happen in good spirit.
Before the Diwali night, people will clean and decorate their place and will also modify their home. On the night of Diwali, the Hindu people dress in good clothes which are best in their outfit and will also light lamps and candles inside and outside their place. They will take part in Puja which is organized in their home. The Lakshmi which is the Goddess of prosperity and wealth. After this Puja the fire crackers will blow. After that, family will exchange gifts and sweets between the members of the family. Diwali is also seen as shopping time where it is celebrated in different areas.

Diwali Celebrations at Andhra Pradesh
Here in Andhra Pradesh, the festival last for 2 days, and Chaturthasi
is celebrated. On Diwali we follow different rituals which make our life
more wonderful. The festival starts with the crackers and it will carry

with their families for getting blessings from their Gods. In the night,
